Ornette Coleman - Ornette Coleman made his debut with The Shape of Jazz to Come in 1959. He was a jazz player, and helped usher in free jazz by recording without a piano to help liberate the songs of a recognizable cord structure, and he wanted to free musical compositions of a tonal center. Coleman used what is known as the double quartet, and had albums like "Free Jazz" and "Sound Grammar".
Julian "Cannonball" Adderley- Adderley earned the nickname "cannonball" as a derivative from cannibal, because of his appetite, for food, which is as large as his appetite for music. Adderley is featured on Miles Davis's album, "King of Blue" and has albums of his own titled "Somethin' Else", "You Know What I Mean?", and "Mercy, mercy, Mercy"
Wayne Shorter- Shorter hailed as one of the finest saxophonists living today. He got his start in the 50's with Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers, and he released albums such as "Adam's Apple" and "Night Dreamer". Shorter also created a fusion group called Weather Report, which lasted for fourteen years. Shorter is still making music and shows no signs of slowing his career.
Kenny G- Kenny G is one of the most well-known musicians in history. He began playing professionally at 17 when he performed in the Love Unlimited orchestra. After years of playing with other musicians, he released a solo album in 86 called "Duotones", which started his rise to fame.
